Recycling

The problem of plastic bottles

Since beverage producers adopted the use of plastic bottles as the main container for soft drinks, the presence of this waste has become a real scourge. These bottles are very harmful to the environment as they take hundreds of years to fully decompose.

They therefore pollute the oceans, rivers and soil, threatening the lives of the plants and animals that live there.

The pollution is even more direct in villages, where, in the absence of a waste collection system, residents are accustomed to burning their own waste, directly inhaling the dioxins, furans, mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls released by combustion.

The collection of recyclable waste

In villages, we organize the collection of plastic bottles to prevent them from ending up on roadsides, being burned in fields, or discarded in the bush. A company then comes to collect these bottles to handle their recycling.

We also collect plastic bottles at public and private events (such as weddings, funerals, etc.). These plastic bottles will then be handed over to the recycling company.

Older generations are very little aware of environmental issues, but young people are much more attentive to them. This is especially true when the stakes are presented to them in a clear, educational and age-appropriate manner.

We are developing training materials that we will deliver in schools so that young local populations truly become the driving force behind environmental efforts.
